V8 Fiery Crash Barbagallo Raceway 2011

The biggest and most spectacular start line crash I have ever seen at a V8 Supercar race.
Luckily no one was killed or seriously injured. This is a testement to the safety built into these cars.
I will be producing a limited edition multi image framed collage of this spectacular event.
Please show your interest by emailing to v8crash@carstereo.com.au or visit http://www.carstereo.com.au for contact details.
I will produce a sample shortly and display an image soon. Stay tuned!
When ordering images allow for white border around each image.

 • Karl Reindler picked a bad time to have a clutch failure. A devastating impact is only a split second away and get him into the history books for all the wrong reasons.
• Sudden impact! Over 30G's of force when cars collide at over 140km/h. In car video shows Steve Owen had no time to react, other than to partly mutter an expletive. A full tank of racing fuel hits his car like a fire hose. This photo shows the fire starting with a rapid burn about to explode.
• BOOM! This image took up half of the back page of The West Australian Newspaper on Monday 02/05/2011. Showing half of the fuel still unburned in the air but the fireball is growing.
The car now almost disappearing into the fireball. Being in the car and looking out all windows and seeing nothing but fire would put a damp patch in the racing suit of even the most seasoned of drivers.
• Intense flame consumes Steve Owen's VIP Pet Food car. I wonder if VIP Pet Foods do a baked range of pet foods? Could be the perfect marketing package right here. BBQ Kangaroo and veggies perhaps. I can see our cat licking its lips already!
• Karl Reindler being helped as the Ambulance is about to pick him up. A few burns but still walked away from what was the most explosive and destructive start line crash in V8 Supercar history. We can only hope it stays that way
